Call for Tutorials – MICC2023

Tutorial proposals template

IEEE MICC 2023 invites tutorial proposals for its upcoming conference. We are seeking proposals for both full-day and half-day tutorials that cover a wide range of subject areas. This is an excellent opportunity for experts in their respective fields to share their knowledge, insights, and practical skills with a diverse audience of researchers, engineers, and practitioners.

Submission Details: Please submit your tutorial proposal by 31 July 2023 to khaizuran@iium.edu.my. The proposals, which must not be longer than 4 pages, should include:

  1. Tutorial Title:
    • Provide a concise and descriptive title for your tutorial.
  2. Subject Area:
    • Specify the subject area or topic that your tutorial will cover.
  3. Duration:
    • Indicate whether your tutorial will be a full-day or half-day session. While both options are welcome, preference will be given to half-day tutorials.
  4. Tutorial Abstract:
    • Provide a brief abstract (200-300 words) summarizing the content and goals of your tutorial. This should give potential attendees a clear understanding of what they can expect to learn from your session.
  5. Tutorial Outline:
    • Outline the main topics and subtopics that you plan to cover during your tutorial. Include a brief description of each section to give reviewers an idea of the tutorial’s structure and content.
  6. Speaker’s Tutorial Experience:
    • Provide a summary of your previous experience in delivering tutorials, workshops, or similar educational sessions. Highlight any notable accomplishments or positive feedback received from previous attendees.
  7. Speaker’s Information:
    • Include your full name, current position, organization, address, phone number, and email address.
    • Mention your IEEE Membership/Grade, if applicable.
  8. Speaker’s Biography:
    • Briefly describe your professional background, expertise, and qualifications related to the tutorial topic. Include any relevant publications, research projects, or industry experience.

For COMSOC category, the applicant should be an active member of COMSOC or VTS for year 2023.

The applicant should submit at least 1 paper to MICC2023.
